The Sage is a second class of the Mage line, the scholarly counterpart to the Wizard. Where Wizards focus on raw nuking, Sages are versatile battle-scholars who bend the elements, break enemy spells and empower the people fighting beside them. On Vortex Legends the Sage is built around two playstyles:
The Sage's skills divide into two complementary playstyles:
* Battle Mage: combines Auto Spell and Magic Crasher with melee to deal sustained hybrid damage, using Free Cast and Double Cast to stay mobile and spam spells.
* Scholar: leverages elemental weapon buffs, ground fields (Volcano / Deluge / Violent Gale) and anti-magic tools (Magic Rod, Spell Breaker, Dispell) to support allies and disrupt enemy casters.

Skills
* Battle Sage: a mobile caster who keeps channelling on the move, auto-casts bolts in melee and pressures single targets with Neutral magic.
* Arcane Scholar: an elemental support and anti-magic specialist who endows weapons, lays elemental fields and shuts enemy casters down.

Heaven's Drive
The two lines are a matter of priority, not a cage: skill points can be spent freely, so hybrid builds remain fully playable. Sages advance into the Professor after rebirth.

Spell Breaker
The Battle Sage never stops casting. It leans on Free Cast and Auto Spell to hold its ground in melee, and builds a Neutral damage axis of its own through Magic Crasher, backed by the steadier output of Spell Enchanting and Maximize Magic.

Shatters an enemy's spell mid-cast, draining its SP and saddling it with a chance of slowed casting. At its highest mastery it also siphons a slice of the target's health in PvP and against monsters, making it a brutal counter to spellcasters.

Sage

The Sage is a second class of the Mage line, the scholarly counterpart to the Wizard. Where Wizards focus on raw nuking, Sages are versatile battle-scholars who bend the elements, break enemy spells and empower the people fighting beside them. On Vortex Legends the Sage is built around two playstyles:

 • Battle Sage: a mobile caster who keeps channelling on the move, auto-casts bolts in melee and pressures single targets with Neutral magic.
 • Arcane Scholar: an elemental support and anti-magic specialist who endows weapons, lays elemental fields and shuts enemy casters down.

The two lines are a matter of priority, not a cage: skill points can be spent freely, so hybrid builds remain fully playable. Sages advance into the Professor after rebirth.

Specialization branches

Battle Sage

The Battle Sage never stops casting. It leans on Free Cast and Auto Spell to hold its ground in melee, and builds a Neutral damage axis of its own through Magic Crasher, backed by the steadier output of Spell Enchanting and Maximize Magic.
