Professor
Professor
The Professor is the transcendent form of the Sage, gained after rebirth. It keeps the Sage's entire toolkit and sharpens both of its playstyles: Battle Sage gains the tools that let a caster chain spells at speed, while Arcane Scholar grows into the Mage line's premier anti-caster and battlefield-control specialist.
- Battle Sage: the offensive caster line, now able to prime a burst of rapid spellcasting.
- Arcane Scholar: support, disruption and control, with SP destruction, magic-defence stripping and lingering field effects.
As with the Sage, the lines are a matter of priority: points can be spent freely and hybrid builds remain playable.
Specialization branches
Battle Sage
The transcendent Battle Sage is about casting more, and casting faster. Memorize sets up the burst windows the branch's spell rotation is built around, Double Cast doubles the payoff of a lucky bolt proc, and Gravitational Field gives the branch a nuke worth spending that burst on.

A self-buff with a lengthy channel that primes the Professor for a flurry of rapid spellcasting, sharply cutting the variable cast time of the next several learned-skill casts. Spells granted by items are unaffected, and the buff lasts until all its charges are spent.

A reworked ground field that repeatedly crushes enemies caught inside it with Neutral magic, leaving everything trapped within slowed and swinging more sluggishly. The caster is not locked in place, making it a reliable source of area pressure.

Arcane Scholar
The transcendent Arcane Scholar turns study into control of the battlefield. It strips an enemy's resources and defences, and lays down fields that pin, blind and break up an advance.

A premier anti-caster strike that attempts to wipe out an enemy's entire SP pool in an instant, blasting it with magic damage drawn from the energy destroyed. The gamble cuts both ways: a failed cast rebounds and lands that same backlash on the Professor.

A double-edged debuff that whips a single enemy into a heightened magical state, sharply raising the magic damage it deals but leaving its magic defenses badly exposed. Casting it also interrupts the target's current spell and yanks monster aggression onto the Professor. A staple setup tool for partnering with allied nukers, though it finds no purchase on Boss-class or Undead enemies.

Conjures an Earth-element fog cloud on the ground that reliably Blinds anyone standing inside it, crippling their accuracy. The blind refreshes while a unit lingers in the fog and clings to them for a while after they leave; standing on a Deluge tile grants immunity.

Ensnares an enemy in sticky webbing, rooting it in place and gutting its evasion. While caught, the target is doubly vulnerable to Fire, and the first Fire hit lands amplified and tears the web apart. A potent combo setup that consumes a Cobweb.

Transforms an enemy into a harmless Poring that cannot attack or cast, wanders aimlessly, and rapidly heals itself, though any damage shatters the spell. It holds far longer on monsters than on players, and bosses and instance foes resist it outright. Costs a Red Gemstone.
