Heaven's Drive calls jagged spikes of earth up through the ground over a small area, striking everything caught above them with Earth-property magic.
Overview
Heaven's Drive is a ground-targeted area spell available to both Wizards and Sages. It affects a 5×5 patch of cells around the chosen point and hits each target a number of times equal to the skill level, making it a reliable area-clearing tool against grounded enemies. Because it is Earth-property, it is especially effective against Wind-element foes. For Wizards it is also the gateway to Quagmire, and Professors need it to learn Gravitation Field.
Mechanics
The spell strikes every enemy in the 5×5 area once per skill level (1 hit at Level 1, up to 5 hits at Level 5). Each hit deals magic damage based on the caster's MATK.
- Damage per hit: 100% MATK
- Total damage: (100 × SkillLv)% MATK
- Against a target affected by Quagmire: +50% damage, for a total of (150 × SkillLv)% MATK
The spikes also reach hidden enemies, which makes the skill a common answer to cloaked or buried targets. Cast time is one second per skill level, so higher levels trade a longer wind-up for more hits. After-cast delay is a flat 0.7 seconds at every level, and the skill has no cooldown.
Leveling
| Level | Hits | Total damage (% MATK) | Under Quagmire | Cast time | SP |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | 100 | 150 | 1 s | 28 |
| 2 | 2 | 200 | 300 | 2 s | 32 |
| 3 | 3 | 300 | 450 | 3 s | 36 |
| 4 | 4 | 400 | 600 | 4 s | 40 |
| 5 | 5 | 500 | 750 | 5 s | 44 |
Notes
- The spikes reach hidden enemies, so the skill can be used to reveal and damage concealed targets.
- Enemies slowed by Quagmire take 50% extra damage from every hit.
