Combo Finish

Overview

Combo Finish closes the basic Monk chain with a pair of brutal thrusts that spill over onto everything around the target. Landing it leaves the Monk in Momentum, a short state that sharpens reflexes and softens incoming blows, and it is the doorway to Asura Strike for a Monk in the right state.

Mechanics

  • Damage: 240 + 60 × SkillLv + 2 × AGI (% of ATK), split into 2 hits
  • Hits the target and every enemy in a 5×5 area around it.
  • Each hit can land a critical.
  • Consumes 1 spirit sphere.

Momentum. Every cast grants the Monk a 20-second state that adds AGI equal to the skill level and reduces physical damage taken by 5%. Recasting refreshes it.

What it opens: Asura Strike, if the Monk is in Explosion Spirits and still holds at least 4 spirit spheres. On the Champion line it also opens Tiger Fist and Chain Crush Combo.

Leveling

Level SP cost Damage (total, 2 hits) Momentum AGI
1 6 300% + 2×AGI% ATK +1
2 7 360% + 2×AGI% ATK +2
3 8 420% + 2×AGI% ATK +3
4 9 480% + 2×AGI% ATK +4
5 10 540% + 2×AGI% ATK +5
6 11 600% + 2×AGI% ATK +6
7 12 660% + 2×AGI% ATK +7
8 13 720% + 2×AGI% ATK +8
9 14 780% + 2×AGI% ATK +9
10 15 840% + 2×AGI% ATK +10

Momentum lasts 20 seconds and gives −5% physical damage taken at every level.

Combo chain. Combo Finish follows Chain Combo. For a Champion the chain can continue into Tiger Fist or Chain Crush Combo instead of stopping here.

With Tempered Will at level 9 or higher, Combo Finish remains usable under Steel Body.

Notes

  • AGI counts twice here, so it is the strongest single stat for a combo Monk once the chain is reliable.
  • Keeping Momentum up between chains is worth planning for: the AGI it adds feeds straight back into the next Combo Finish.
  • Reaching Asura Strike through this skill requires 4 spheres left after the finisher, which means opening the chain with a full reserve.
