Knight
Knight is a second class advancing from Swordsman on Vortex Legends. Knights build on the Swordsman's foundation of brute-force melee combat, gaining access to more specialized weapon paths and an optional Peco Peco mount that dramatically changes how they move across the battlefield.
Knights split their advanced training across two distinct weapon philosophies. The sword path rewards sustained aggressive pressure: Sword Quicken accelerates attack speed with swords, Bowling Bash delivers hard-hitting area knockback, and Mighty Bash supercharges the core Swordsman skill into something more punishing. The spear path instead favors range and versatility: Spear Mastery improves accuracy and raw output with lances, Pierce punishes large enemies with repeated strikes, Spear Boomerang throws the weapon at distant targets, and Brandish Spear sweeps a wide arc in front of the Knight.
A Knight who invests in the Riding platinum skill can mount a Peco Peco, gaining faster movement and carrying capacity at the cost of some attack speed. Cavalry Mastery exists specifically to recover that speed penalty, making it a natural companion skill for any mounted build.
Defensively, Knights are built to absorb punishment. Heavy Weapon Training grants meaningful HP bonuses and elemental resilience for those who commit to two-handed weapons, and Auto Counter gives a short reactive window to neutralize and immediately punish incoming attacks.
Cavalry Mastery
| Job | Knight |
|---|---|
| Type | Passive |
| Max level | 3 |
Cavalry Mastery reduces the attack speed penalty that comes with riding a Peco Peco. At maximum rank, the penalty is fully negated, allowing a mounted Knight to attack at the same rate as one on foot. Useful exclusively for Knights who take the Riding platinum skill.

Auto Counter
| Job | Knight |
|---|---|
| Type | Active (Physical) |
| Target | Self |
| Max level | 5 |
| SP cost | 3 – 5 |
| Requires | — |
Auto Counter puts the Knight into a brief defensive stance. If an enemy strikes from the front during that window, the hit is absorbed and the Knight immediately retaliates with a powerful counter-hit that bypasses defense and always lands critically. Higher ranks extend the stance duration and increase the counter's strength, particularly with two-handed weapons.

Heavy Weapon Training
| Job | Knight |
|---|---|
| Type | Passive |
| Max level | 10 |
| Requires | Auto Counter Lv 1 |
Heavy Weapon Training rewards commitment to two-handed weapons with improved survivability. Knights who carry a two-handed sword, spear, or axe gain more maximum HP and resistance to neutral-element hits. Neither bonus applies when the Knight switches to a one-handed weapon.

Two-Handed Mastery
| Job | Knight |
|---|---|
| Type | Passive |
| Max level | 5 |
| Requires | Heavy Weapon Training Lv 3 |
Two-Handed Mastery increases total damage output with all two-handed weapons. It is a straightforward multiplier that pairs cleanly with every two-handed skill and build. Knights who already invested in Heavy Weapon Training often take this as a natural extension.

Spear Mastery
| Job | Knight |
|---|---|
| Type | Passive |
| Max level | 10 |
| Requires | Quick Stabs Lv 1 |
Spear Mastery is the foundation of every spear build. It passively improves raw damage and accuracy when wielding any spear, one-handed or two-handed. Higher ranks also unlock Pierce and eventually the rest of the spear skill line.

Pierce
| Job | Knight |
|---|---|
| Type | Offensive (Physical) |
| Target | Single enemy |
| Max level | 10 |
| SP cost | 7 |
| Range | Melee |
| Requires | Spear Mastery Lv 1 |
Pierce thrusts a spear into the target multiple times in a single action. The number of hits scales with the target's body size, making it exceptionally effective against large monsters that would otherwise be harder to kill efficiently. It also grants improved accuracy, helping it land reliably on fast or evasive enemies.

Spear Boomerang
| Job | Knight |
|---|---|
| Type | Offensive (Physical) |
| Target | Single enemy |
| Max level | 5 |
| SP cost | 10 |
| Range | 9 – 13 cells |
| Cast delay | 1 s |
| Requires | Pierce Lv 3 |
Spear Boomerang hurls the equipped spear at a distant target and returns it, dealing ranged physical damage without the Knight needing to close the gap. Heavier spears hit harder, so weapon choice directly affects damage output. The skill gives spear Knights a meaningful threat at range, something most pure melee builds lack entirely.

Brandish Spear
| Job | Knight |
|---|---|
| Type | Offensive (Physical) |
| Target | Area in front |
| Max level | 10 |
| SP cost | 15 |
| Cast time | 0.5 s |
| Requires | Pierce Lv 5 |
Brandish Spear swings the spear in a wide sweeping arc ahead of the Knight, hitting everything in a broad frontal zone and pushing enemies back. At higher ranks the arc becomes wider, covering more ground. It is one of the strongest area-clear tools available to Knights, and the cast time is halved when wielding a two-handed spear.

Sword Quicken
| Job | Knight |
|---|---|
| Type | Active (Support) |
| Target | Self |
| Max level | 10 |
| SP cost | 14 – 50 |
| Duration | 30 – 300 s |
| Requires | Sword Mastery Lv 5 |
Sword Quicken temporarily increases the Knight's attack speed and accuracy while wielding a sword. The boost is stronger with a two-handed sword than a one-handed sword. At maximum rank the buff lasts five minutes, making it essentially a persistent combat mode toggle for sword builds.

Mighty Bash
| Job | Knight |
|---|---|
| Type | Passive |
| Max level | 10 |
| Requires | Bash Lv 10, Sword Quicken Lv 10 |
Mighty Bash is a passive upgrade for Bash that applies only when a sword is equipped. It increases Bash's damage, and at higher ranks also reduces its SP cost and improves its hit rate bonus. Knights who reach this skill have built a complete sword-focused kit and treat Bash as a refined, efficient primary attack.

Bowling Bash
| Job | Knight |
|---|---|
| Type | Offensive (Physical) |
| Target | Single enemy (AoE on knockback) |
| Max level | 10 |
| SP cost | 13 – 22 |
| Cast time | 0.7 s |
| Requires | Bash Lv 10, Magnum Break Lv 3, Sword Quicken Lv 5 |
Bowling Bash drives the primary target into the ground and sends it flying backward. If that enemy collides with a wall or another enemy, the impact creates a chain explosion that damages nearby targets as well. Open fields limit its area potential, but in tight corridors or against clustered groups it becomes one of the most destructive tools in the Knight's kit.

Platinum skills
Riding
| Job | Knight |
|---|---|
| Type | Passive (Platinum) |
| Max level | 1 |
Riding unlocks the ability to mount a Peco Peco. A mounted Knight moves faster and can carry more weight. Lances and two-handed swords also lose their size penalty against medium-size enemies while mounted. The tradeoff is a reduction in attack speed, which Cavalry Mastery can offset.

Charge Attack
| Job | Knight |
|---|---|
| Type | Offensive (Physical) |
| Target | Single enemy |
| Max level | 1 |
| SP cost | 15 |
| Cast time | 0.5 s (uninterruptible) |
| Cooldown | 5 s |
| Range | 14 cells |
Charge Attack closes the distance instantly, launching the Knight at a target up to fourteen cells away. Damage scales with how far the Knight travels, so picking distant targets is rewarded. Two-handed weapons double the final damage. There is also a chance to stun the target on impact. The cast cannot be interrupted. Charge Attack is unavailable in WoE and BG.
