Combustion Gale is a passive skill of the Ninja that links Wind magic into Fire magic. Enemies hit by the Ninja's Wind spells are wrapped in a wind vortex, so the same Ninja's Fire spells aimed at them cast faster.

Overview

Combustion Gale is the Wind-to-Fire link in the Ninja's elemental chain. When the Ninja hits an enemy with a Wind skill, that enemy is marked for a short time. While the mark lasts, the Ninja's targeted Fire magic against it has a shorter cast time. The skill deals no damage of its own.

Mechanics

Trigger: hitting an enemy with Wind Blade, Lightning Strike of Destruction or Kamaitachi marks that enemy for 5 seconds.

Effect: while the mark lasts, the cast time of Crimson Fire Petal and Raging Fire Dragon aimed at that enemy is reduced by (10 + 6 × SkillLv)%.

Rules of the mark:

Only the Ninja who applied the mark receives the bonus.
An enemy can carry only one Combustion Gale mark at a time. Another Ninja can replace it only with an equal or higher Combustion Gale level.
The duration is a fixed 5 seconds and does not scale with level. Hitting the enemy again with a Wind skill renews it.

This is a passive skill; it works automatically and is not cast directly.
Crimson Fire Formation is not aimed at an enemy, so it does not benefit from this skill.
It forms an elemental rotation together with Thermal Haze (Fire → Water) and Hydro Gale (Water → Wind).
