The Dancer is a second job for the Archer branch in Vortex Legends, choosing the path of the whip and the performance. Where the Archer trained the bow, the Dancer turns rhythm and allure into a weapon, weaving dances that empower allies or cripple enemies while still holding her ground with whip-thrown arrows and charming strikes.
Dancers lead from within the group. Their dances linger over a wide area and follow the party's flow rather than pinning the performer in place, and their duets pair with a nearby Bard to grant powerful group-wide effects. Between performances a Dancer can throw arrows through her whip, stun crowds with a scream, and charm even the toughest foes.
Skills
Dances & Songs
Service for You
| Job | Dancer |
|---|---|
| Type | Support (dance) |
| Target | Self (party area) |
| Max level | 5 |
| SP cost | 40 → 60 |
| Area | 7×7 |
| Catalyst | Whip |
A generous dance that eases the strain of casting for everyone nearby, expanding their maximum SP reserves and lowering the SP cost of their skills. The effect follows the party across the dance floor and lingers briefly after they step away, but ends when the map changes.
Fortune's Kiss
| Job | Dancer |
|---|---|
| Type | Support (dance) |
| Target | Self (party area) |
| Max level | 10 |
| SP cost | 43 → 70 |
| Area | 7×7 |
| Catalyst | Whip |
A flirtatious dance that blesses nearby allies with fortune, raising their critical hit rate and the damage of their critical strikes. Like the Dancer's other dances it drains a little SP over time, follows the party, and fades when the map changes.
Please Don't Forget Me
| Job | Dancer |
|---|---|
| Type | Debuff (song) |
| Target | Self (enemy area) |
| Max level | 10 |
| SP cost | 28 → 55 |
| Area | 7×7 |
| Catalyst | Whip |
A haunting performance that slows every enemy caught in it, dragging down both their attack speed and their movement speed. The lull clings to foes for a short time after they leave the area, making it a strong tool for controlling a crowd or covering a retreat.
Eternal Chaos
| Job | Dancer |
|---|---|
| Type | Debuff (dance) |
| Target | Self (enemy area) |
| Max level | 5 |
| SP cost | 30 → 50 |
| Area | 7×7 |
| Catalyst | Whip |
A wild dance that shreds the physical defense of enemies in the area and weakens their resistance to Neutral damage. Once a partnered ensemble, it is now a solo Dancer dance that softens tough targets for the whole party.
Duets
Into the Abyss
| Job | Dancer |
|---|---|
| Type | Support (duet) |
| Target | Self (party area) |
| Max level | 3 |
Performed together with a Bard, this duet lets party members use their skills without spending catalysts for a while — the items must still be carried, but none are consumed. Only one duet can be active at a time, and the effect ends on a map change.
A Drum on the Battlefield
| Job | Dancer |
|---|---|
| Type | Support (duet) |
| Target | Self (party area) |
| Max level | 3 |
A martial duet shared with a Bard that pounds out a battle rhythm, raising the physical and magical attack power of the whole party for a time. As with all duets, only one may be active at once and it ends when the map changes.
Mr. Kim A Rich Man
| Job | Dancer |
|---|---|
| Type | Support (duet) |
| Target | Self (party area) |
| Max level | 3 |
A cheerful duet with a Bard that increases the experience the party gains from defeating monsters for a while. Only one duet can be active at a time and the effect ends on a map change.
Offensive
Throw Arrow
| Job | Dancer |
|---|---|
| Type | Offensive, physical |
| Target | Enemy |
| Element | Weapon |
| Max level | 5 |
| SP cost | 12 |
| Range | 11 |
| Cast time | 1.2s → 2s |
| Catalyst | Whip, 1 Arrow |
Slings an arrow from a whip to strike a distant enemy twice and knock it back. It is the Dancer's main ranged attack, and its SP cost is halved while she is performing a dance, letting her keep pressure on foes without breaking her rhythm.
Wink of Charm
| Job | Dancer |
|---|---|
| Type | Offensive, physical |
| Target | Enemy |
| Element | Weapon |
| Max level | 5 |
| SP cost | 12 → 20 |
| Range | 9 |
| Cast time | 0.5s |
| Catalyst | Whip |
Distracts a target with a seductive wink and follows it with a swift strike scaled by the Dancer's Agility, with a chance to leave the victim Confused. Foes caught mid-cast or mid-performance take extra damage, and the wink works on any race and even on Boss monsters. It can be used while dancing.
Scream
| Job | Dancer |
|---|---|
| Type | Active (crowd control) |
| Target | Self (screen area) |
| Max level | 5 |
| SP cost | 12 → 20 |
| Cooldown | 4s |
Lets out a horrible shriek that can Stun every enemy on screen, with a much higher chance against foes standing close by. It affects only enemies, making it a reliable way to open a fight or interrupt an approaching crowd.
→ Scream
Loki's Lament
| Job | Dancer |
|---|---|
| Type | Active (debuff) |
| Target | Enemy |
| Max level | 5 |
| SP cost | 12 → 20 |
| Range | 9 |
| Cast time | 0.5s |
| Cooldown | 2s |
| Catalyst | Whip |
Recites a disquieting curse that may afflict a single enemy with Loki's Veil, causing it to frequently fail when it tries to use skills. A target's Luck resists the curse. This is a Dancer-exclusive skill and can be used while she is dancing.
