If this value is at or above the random roll, all eligible ailments on the target are removed at once.
The skill restores no HP when used on the Emperium or on battleground structures, but the cleanse still applies to valid targets.

* Unlike most Priest heals, Gentle Touch - Cure scales with MaxHP rather than INT, making it useful regardless of INT investment.
* STR is the stat that scales the heal, so an offensive Monk heals better than a defensive one.
* A high-DEX Monk with a high BaseLv can achieve reliable cleanse rates near 100% at level 5.
* Being able to clear Stun and Freeze from itself is what makes the skill valuable in a fight, even at low levels.
* The Emperium and battlefield-class monsters are immune to the heal portion.
* With [[Tempered Will]] at level 9, Gentle Touch - Cure remains usable under [[Steel Body]].
* Can be cast on yourself: range is 2 cells, so it does not require the target to be adjacent.

Gentle Touch - Cure

Overview

Gentle Touch - Cure is the Monk's pressure-point technique: a touch that restores health and clears a set of the most punishing ailments at the same time. It is the only healing the class has, and the Monk can use it on itself even while suffering the very ailments it removes.

Mechanics

  • Heal formula: (BaseLv + STR) × (2 + SkillLv) + Target MaxHP × SkillLv ÷ 100
  • Ailments removed (always, no chance roll): Stone, Freeze, Stun, Bleeding, Critical Wounds, Poison
  • Consumes 1 spirit sphere.

The heal has two halves: a flat part that grows with the Monk's own level and STR, and a percentage of the target's maximum HP. That makes it useful on a heavily built ally even when the caster is not a support character.

Inside instances the healed amount is reduced by the instance's difficulty penalty, like every other skill heal.

The skill restores no HP when used on the Emperium or on battleground structures, but the cleanse still applies to valid targets.

Leveling

Level Flat heal Percentage of target MaxHP
1 (BaseLv + STR) × 3 1%
2 (BaseLv + STR) × 4 2%
3 (BaseLv + STR) × 5 3%
4 (BaseLv + STR) × 6 4%
5 (BaseLv + STR) × 7 5%

The list of ailments removed is the same at every level.

Notes

  • STR is the stat that scales the heal, so an offensive Monk heals better than a defensive one.
  • Being able to clear Stun and Freeze from itself is what makes the skill valuable in a fight, even at low levels.
  • With Tempered Will at level 9, Gentle Touch - Cure remains usable under Steel Body.
