Absorb Spirit Sphere

Overview

Absorb Spirit Sphere lets the Monk drain spiritual energy from a target, converting it into SP. It can be used on the caster themselves, on enemy players (in PvP or duel), or on monsters.

Mechanics

Behavior depends on the target:

Against another player (self or enemy in PvP/duel):

  • All of the target's spirit spheres are removed.
  • The caster gains 7 SP per sphere absorbed.
  • Gunslingers and Rebellion-class players are immune (their coins cannot be taken).

Against a monster:

  • If the monster has spirit spheres, those are removed with no SP gain.
  • Otherwise, there is a 70% chance to absorb SP equal to the monster's level.
  • Monsters immune to status effects cannot be targeted.

If neither condition is met (e.g. targeting a player without spheres in a non-PvP map), the skill fails with an error message.

Notes

  • This is an effective SP recovery tool in grinding scenarios — a mob with level 70 yields up to 70 SP on a successful absorb.
  • The 2-second cast time means positioning matters; use it during downtime between fights rather than in active combat.
  • Cannot be used in a PvM context to drain another player's spheres unless you are on a PvP or duel map.
