Wind Ivy plants a writhing field of wind over a 5×5 area that lashes everything inside with Wind magic once per second for ten seconds.
Overview
Wind Ivy is the Wizard-tier skill of the Tempest (Wind) branch. Instead of a single burst it lays down a persistent area that grinds enemies down over time and can blind them, giving the Wind specialist a way to keep pressure on a spot or whittle a tough target while other spells recover. It is the gateway to the High Wizard passive Killing Wind.
Mechanics
On cast, a wind field forms over the targeted 5×5 area and lasts 10 seconds, striking each enemy standing inside once per second.
Damage formula: Damage per tick = 25 + 15 × SkillLv (% of MATK), so each pulse deals 40% at Level 1 up to 100% at Level 5.
Every tick also has a 10 + 2 × SkillLv % chance to inflict Blind for 10 seconds on the enemies it hits.
Up to three Wind Ivy fields can exist at once, and where fields overlap a single enemy is struck by each of them, stacking both their damage and their blind chances.
Leveling
| Level | Damage per tick (% MATK) | Blind chance | SP |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 40 | 12% | 36 |
| 2 | 55 | 14% | 42 |
| 3 | 70 | 16% | 48 |
| 4 | 85 | 18% | 54 |
| 5 | 100 | 20% | 60 |
Notes
- The field ticks every second for ten seconds, so total output rewards keeping enemies inside the area.
- Reaching Level 3 unlocks Killing Wind at High Wizard.
