Beacon of Light is a supportive skill of the Paladin class that marks an ally as a Beacon, causing a share of the Paladin's healing to echo onto that ally whenever someone else is healed. It turns the Paladin into a secondary healer who can keep a key target topped up while tending the rest of the party.

Overview

The Paladin designates one party member as their Beacon Target. From then on, whenever the Paladin heals themselves or another ally, a portion of that heal is mirrored onto the Beacon. This lets the Paladin sustain a focal ally, such as a front-line tank, even while their direct heals are spent elsewhere.

Mechanics

The skill marks a single allied party member within range. It cannot be cast on yourself.

Effect: While the Beacon is active, every time the Paladin casts Heal on themselves or another ally, the Beacon receives an echoed heal equal to (10% × SkillLv) of that heal:

  • Level 1 echoes 10% of the heal.
  • Level 5 echoes 50% of the heal.

Restrictions:

  • Only one Beacon can be active at a time. Casting it again moves the mark to the new target.
  • Healing the Beacon directly does not duplicate; the echo only applies when the direct heal lands on a different ally.

Leveling

The echoed fraction rises with level, from 10% of each heal at level 1 to 50% at level 5. SP cost climbs alongside it.

Notes

  • Beacon of Light pairs naturally with a healing-focused Paladin: marking the tank and then healing other party members keeps the tank topped up "for free" as a side effect of normal healing.
  • The echo respects any healing penalties already applied to the original heal, so it never restores more than the underlying heal would.
