Arathi Basin

From Vortex Legends

Arathi Basin is a Battleground about controlling territory. Two teams fight over multiple capture points scattered across the map, and holding them generates resources toward victory. It's part of the Battlegrounds system.

Overview

Rather than one single objective, Arathi Basin spreads several capture points, or bases, across the map. Each base your team controls slowly generates resources for your side. The more bases you hold at once, the faster your resources climb. The first team to fill up their resource meter wins, so the fight constantly shifts between defending what you hold and pushing to take more.

How it works

  • Capturing a base. Walking into an enemy or neutral base and holding the area lets your team take it over.
  • Neutralizing a base. Before you can capture an enemy-held base, you first need to break the enemy's hold on it (neutralize it), then complete the capture.
  • Generating resources. Every base your team currently controls contributes resources over time. Holding more bases at once means your total climbs faster.
  • Winning. The match ends the moment either team's resource total reaches the target amount.

Honor

In Arathi Basin, Honor comes from:

  • Getting kills.
  • Neutralizing an enemy-held base.
  • Capturing a base.
  • A steady passive trickle for simply holding bases over time, on top of the active sources above.

See Honor for how the wider system works, including diminishing returns, the AFK rule, and match-end bonuses.
