Art of War is a supportive party-wide aura of the Paladin class that sharpens the attack of nearby allies. It is one of two mutually exclusive auras the Paladin can project; the offensive aura and the protective aura cannot both be active at once.
Overview
When cast, the aura radiates from the Paladin to themselves and to party members standing nearby, granting each a flat boost to attack power for a short time. Like its protective counterpart it is a sustained toggle: holding it up costs SP over time, and it ends once the duration expires or the Paladin can no longer pay its upkeep.
Mechanics
The aura is centered on the Paladin and applies to the caster plus party members (and battleground teammates) within range.
Effect: Each affected ally gains +(15 × SkillLv) flat ATK for the duration.
Upkeep: While the aura is active it drains 3 SP per second from the Paladin. If the Paladin's SP runs out, the aura ends early. Recasting refreshes the buff.
Exclusivity: Projecting Art of War cancels Aura of the Guardian on its recipients. Only one Paladin aura can be projected at a time.
Leveling
Higher levels increase the flat ATK granted, from +15 ATK at level 1 up to +75 ATK at level 5. The SP cost and upkeep do not change with level.
Notes
- The flat attack bonus benefits the whole party's physical damage at once, making it a strong group-DPS tool for clearing PvE content or pushing in War of Emperium.
- Because it is mutually exclusive with the protective aura, the Paladin decides per fight whether the party gains more from extra offense or extra defense.
