Fire Pillar plants a hidden Fire-element trap that, when an enemy steps onto it, erupts into a column of flame that strikes several times and briefly halts the victim.
Overview
Fire Pillar is a ground-trap offensive skill from the Wizard's Fire toolkit. It is laid in advance on a chosen cell and only activates when an enemy walks over or beside it, making it useful for guarding chokepoints and zoning. Because the damage ignores the target's defense, it remains effective even against well-armored foes. It requires Fire Wall to learn.
Mechanics
The trap stays dormant for up to its duration, then bursts when an enemy comes within range, hitting the area around it multiple times. The damage ignores the enemy's defense.
Damage formula (per hit): Damage = (40 + 20 × SkillLv) % of MATK, plus a flat (100 + 50 × SkillLv) added on top of the spell.
The number of hits rises with skill level, from 3 hits at Level 1 to 12 hits at Level 10. Each victim is held in place (unable to act briefly) for a window that grows from 0.6 s at Level 1 to 2.4 s at Level 10. Higher levels also shorten the cast time sharply.
Leveling
| Level | Damage per hit (% MATK) | Hits | Hold (sec) | Cast (sec) | SP |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 60 | 3 | 0.6 | 3.0 | 75 |
| 3 | 100 | 5 | 1.0 | 2.4 | 75 |
| 5 | 140 | 7 | 1.4 | 1.8 | 75 |
| 7 | 180 | 9 | 1.8 | 1.2 | 75 |
| 10 | 240 | 12 | 2.4 | 0.3 | 75 |
Notes
- The damage ignores enemy defense.
- It behaves as a trap, so it must be triggered by an enemy rather than aimed directly at one.
