Shield Charge is an offensive skill of the Crusader class that bashes a single enemy with the equipped shield, dealing physical damage with a chance to inflict Stun.
Overview
Shield Charge turns the Crusader's shield into a weapon. It is a short-range strike that scales with both skill level and the user's VIT, rewarding the high-VIT tank builds that Crusaders favour. A shield must be equipped to use it.
Mechanics
Damage formula:
- Damage = 100 + 50 × SkillLv + 2 × VIT (% of ATK)
Additional effect:
- Stun chance = 40 − 5 × SkillLv (%)
The attack takes the element of the user's weapon. While Auto Guard is active, Shield Charge deals extra damage equal to +2 × (Auto Guard level) % of its damage.
Leveling
Higher levels raise base damage and SP cost while lowering the Stun chance, so a fully invested Shield Charge trades reliable disabling for raw damage. The VIT term means the skill's output continues to grow with the user's stat investment regardless of level.
Requirements
A shield must be equipped to cast Shield Charge.
Notes
Shield Charge can be copied by Plagiarism and Reproduce. It requires Auto Guard as a prerequisite and is in turn a prerequisite for Shield Boomerang.
