Tempered Will

Overview

Tempered Will is a custom Vortex Legends skill that extends the Monk's capability under Steel Body. Simply having it learned unlocks a whitelist of skills that can be used during Steel Body. Activating the buff goes further, restoring full movement speed while Steel Body is active.

Mechanics

Passive effect (requires skill to be learned at any level):

While Steel Body is active, the following skills bypass the normal skill-block and may still be cast:

Active buff:

When cast, grants the Tempered Will buff for the skill's duration. While this buff is active during Steel Body:

  • Movement speed is not reduced — the Monk walks at normal speed despite Steel Body

The cast time ignores DEX and always takes exactly 1 second.

Leveling Table

Level Duration Cooldown
1 12 s 22 s
2 14 s 24 s
3 16 s 26 s
4 18 s 28 s
5 20 s 30 s

Notes

  • The passive whitelist effect activates permanently the moment the skill is learned — there is no need to keep the buff active for the whitelist to work.
  • The buff itself (the movement override) must be cast before or during Steel Body to benefit from free movement.
  • Tempered Will's 1-second fixed cast time means it can be used inside Steel Body without worrying about DEX-based cast time reduction.
  • The 2-sphere cost and high SP cost of 50 require planning around available spheres.
