Strip Weapon disarms an enemy entirely. Against players it removes their weapon for a time, leaving them unable to attack; against monsters it always succeeds and blunts their attack power.

Overview

Strip Weapon is the most aggressive of the Rogue's Divest skills, aimed at an enemy's weapon slot. Against another player it forcibly unequips the weapon and prevents re-equipping it for the duration, shutting down their offense. Against a monster it never misses and reduces the creature's attack power.

Mechanics

Against players the skill has a chance to remove the target's weapon:

Success vs. players: 5 + 10 × SkillLv + 0.2 × (DEX − TargetDEX) (%)

A higher DEX than the target improves the chance; a lower DEX reduces it. On success the weapon is removed and cannot be wielded again until the effect ends.

Against monsters the skill always succeeds and lowers the target's attack power by 25% for the duration.

The values shown against players assume equal DEX; the actual chance shifts with the DEX difference.

Notes

Against monsters, Strip Weapon is a powerful defensive tool, cutting the damage a dangerous attacker deals. It completes the Divest chain and, like the others, enables Gangster's Paradise on the target.
