Dodge
Overview
Dodge sharpens the Monk's footwork, permanently raising both ordinary evasion and the rarer perfect dodge that ignores an attack outright. It is a cheap, always-on layer of survivability for a class that fights in melee range, and it opens the way to Blade Stop.
Mechanics
Both bonuses are permanent and apply with any weapon.
- Flee: +3 × SkillLv
- Perfect Dodge: +1 × SkillLv
Flee reduces the chance that an ordinary attack connects, while Perfect Dodge gives a flat chance to avoid an attack regardless of the attacker's accuracy.
Leveling
| Level | Flee | Perfect Dodge |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | +3 | +1 |
| 2 | +6 | +2 |
| 3 | +9 | +3 |
| 4 | +12 | +4 |
| 5 | +15 | +5 |
Notes
- Flee suffers the usual penalty when several enemies attack at once; Perfect Dodge does not, which makes it valuable when fighting groups.
- Level 2 is the prerequisite for Blade Stop.
