The Kafra Warp Service is the fast-travel system of Vortex Legends. From any Kafra Staff you can teleport across the whole world — as long as you have unlocked the destination first. It is part of the wider Kafra Services menu.

Overview

When you open a Kafra and choose Warp Service, you are offered four kinds of destinations:

Category What it contains Cost
Go to City Towns and cities you have unlocked Tier-based fee (see below)
Go to Dungeon Dungeons you have unlocked Tier-based fee (see below)
Go to PvP Battle Zone Player-versus-player arenas Free
Go to Special / Event Map Maps temporarily opened for an event Free

You can only travel to a city or dungeon that appears in your travel book. If a destination is missing, you simply have not unlocked it yet — see #Unlocking destinations below.

Unlocking destinations

Cities and dungeons are not available by default. You discover them out in the world, and once registered they are remembered account-wide — every character on your account shares the same unlocked list.

Unlocking a city

To unlock a city, travel there and talk to its Kafra Staff. The moment you open the conversation, that city is registered in your travel book and you will see a confirmation message:

"Congratulations! <City> has been unlocked."

From then on the city appears under Go to City from any Kafra in the world. There is no fee to unlock — only to warp later.

New characters begin with a starter set of cities already unlocked, so you are never stranded:

Alberta, Aldebaran, Comodo, Geffen, Izlude, Morroc, Payon, Prontera, Umbala, Yuno.

Unlocking a dungeon

Dungeons are unlocked by finding the Kafra Artifact — a glowing teleport stone placed near the entrance of each dungeon. The first time you reach it (walking onto it or clicking it), the artifact activates with a burst of light and registers that dungeon in your travel book:

"Congratulations! <Dungeon> has been unlocked."

In other words: reach the dungeon on foot once, touch its Kafra Artifact, and from then on you can warp straight there for the usual fee. An artifact you have already activated stays lit so you can tell at a glance which dungeons you have discovered.

Pricing

City and dungeon warps use a three-tier pricing system. In the warp list each destination is marked with a small coloured dot showing its tier:

Dot Tier Meaning
⚪ Grey Basic The cheapest, central locations
🟠 Orange Advanced Mid-range, slightly out-of-the-way locations
🟣 Purple Special The most remote or premium destinations

Default fees (server administrators can adjust these):

Tier City warp Dungeon warp
Basic 500z 600z
Advanced 800z 1,000z
Special 2,800z 3,000z

PvP arenas and Special / Event maps are always free.

Last location

At the very top of the Kafra menu you will find a shortcut to your most recent warp destination. It lets you instantly repeat your last trip without digging through the menus. Re-using it charges the same fee as the original warp.

Favorite Destinations

The Favorite Destinations option lets you build a personal bookmark list of the places you visit most, so they are always one click away. You can bookmark any city, dungeon or PvP arena you have unlocked, and toggle a few handy shortcuts on or off:

Shortcut Destination Cost
Adventurer's Hall The central adventurer hub Free
Merchant Zone The merchant trading area 400z
Save Point Warp to your current save point 300z

Bookmarked cities and dungeons cost their normal tier fee when you warp; PvP arenas remain free. Use the Manage sub-menu to add or remove bookmarks and to show or hide the shortcuts above.

Free travel tickets

If you are carrying a Free Ticket for Kafra Transportation, the Kafra waives the warp fee and consumes the ticket instead of charging Zeny. This works for city, dungeon and bookmark warps.

Kafra Points

Every paid warp earns you Kafra Points worth 10% of the Zeny spent (1 point per 10 Zeny). Free warps and free-ticket warps do not award points. See Kafra Services for more on Kafra Points.
