Shadow Hiding is an active supportive (toggle) skill of the Ninja class, learned through a special quest rather than from skill points. The Ninja sinks into the shadows and stays concealed for as long as their spirit holds out.

Overview

Shadow Hiding is a long-duration concealment toggle. Casting it applies Hiding for up to 200 seconds, slowly draining SP for as long as it remains active. It is meant for patient ambushes and for slipping away from danger, but the Ninja cannot move or act while hidden, and several monster types and detection skills can still expose them.

Mechanics

Effect: Toggle that places the user in Hiding for up to 200 seconds.

SP drain: while hidden, the skill drains 1 SP every 5 seconds. When SP runs out, Hiding ends automatically.

Toggle: re-casting the skill cancels the hide early.

Movement lock: while hidden the Ninja cannot move or perform actions.

Detection: Insect, Demon, and Boss monsters can sense the hidden Ninja, and skills such as Ruwach and Sight will reveal them.

Requirements

Special Quest. Shadow Hiding is a platinum/quest skill, unlocked by completing its dedicated quest rather than by spending skill points.

Notes

  • Maximum level is 1; there are no higher ranks.
  • Because it ends the moment SP is depleted, a low-SP Ninja may stay hidden for far less than the full 200 seconds.
