Random Options Transmute
The Refine & Transmute interface is a single equipment window that serves two distinct purposes: standard equipment refining (increasing the refine level of your gear) and Random Options transmutation (modifying the random bonuses on your equipment). Both are accessed through the same window but from different NPCs.
Part 1: Equipment Refining
Talk to any Blacksmith or Refiner NPC found in major cities to open the refine window. Click any refinable item in your inventory to see the available materials and attempt a refine.
Materials
| Material | Used for | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Oridecon | Weapons | Standard refine attempt. |
| Enriched Oridecon | Weapons | Higher success rate than regular Oridecon. |
| Elunium | Armor, Shields, Garments, Footwear, Headgear | Standard refine attempt. |
| Enriched Elunium | Armor pieces | Higher success rate than regular Elunium. |
How refining works
- Each successful refine increases the item's refine level by 1 (shown as +X after the item name).
- Higher refine levels grant bonus ATK or DEF depending on the item type.
- Success rates decrease at higher refine levels. Refining from +0 to +4 is safe and always succeeds. Above +4, there is a chance of failure.
- On failure at high refine levels, the item may drop one refine level or, in the worst case, break entirely. Enriched materials reduce this risk.
Part 2: Random Options Transmute
Talk to Floki in the Adventurer's Hall to access the transmute side of the interface. Select Transmute Equipment from his menu, then click any eligible item to see three operations:
Operations
| Operation | Effect |
|---|---|
| Replace | Removes all existing Random Options and applies a completely new random set, drawn from the item's option pool. |
| Revalue | Keeps the same Random Option slots but re-randomizes all their numeric values. The option types stay the same; only their magnitude changes. |
| Destroy | Permanently destroys the item in exchange for Cores, a crafting material used in the Transmutation Forge. |
Weapon costs
| Weapon Level | Replace | Revalue | Destroy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | 1 Weapon Reroll Stone + 100,000z | 1 Weapon Roll Stone + 150,000z | 1 Poring Coin + 150,000z → 1 Weapon Core |
| Level 2 | 2 Weapon Reroll Stones + 125,000z | 2 Weapon Roll Stones + 175,000z | 1 Poring Coin + 200,000z → 3 Weapon Cores |
| Level 3 | 5 Weapon Reroll Stones + 150,000z | 5 Weapon Roll Stones + 225,000z | 1 Poring Coin + 225,000z → 5 Weapon Cores |
| Level 4 | 10 Weapon Reroll Stones + 200,000z | 10 Weapon Roll Stones + 275,000z | 1 Poring Coin + 275,000z → 10 Weapon Cores |
Armor costs
All armor pieces share the same level — costs are flat regardless of the specific piece.
| Operation | Cost | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Replace | 1 Armor Reroll Stone + 150,000z | New random options |
| Revalue | 1 Armor Roll Stone + 225,000z | Re-rolled option values |
| Destroy | 1 Poring Coin + 225,000z | 2 Armor Cores |
Eligible items
- All weapons (levels 1–4)
- All armor pieces except accessories: body armor, shield, garment, footwear, upper/mid/lower headgear
Accessories cannot be transmuted.
Part 3: Transmutation Forge
Select Transmutation Forge from Floki's menu to exchange Cores for transmutation Stones. No Zeny is required for these trades.
| Give | Receive |
|---|---|
| 5 Weapon Cores | 1 Weapon Reroll Stone |
| 10 Weapon Cores | 1 Weapon Roll Stone |
| 5 Armor Cores | 1 Armor Reroll Stone |
| 10 Armor Cores | 1 Armor Roll Stone |
Destroying unwanted equipment generates Cores, which can then be turned into Stones for Replace or Revalue operations on other pieces.
