Mystical Amplification concentrates the caster's power to boost the magic attack of the very next damaging spell.
Overview
This is the High Wizard's signature setup skill. Once active, it waits in reserve and amplifies the magic attack of the next offensive spell that is cast, then expires. It is the standard way to maximize the damage of a single heavy nuke such as Storm Gust or Meteor Storm.
Mechanics
Casting Mystical Amplification applies a buff to the caster. The buff increases the magic attack of the next damaging spell, then is consumed:
Magic attack increase = 5 × SkillLv (percent)
At maximum level this raises the next spell's magic attack by 50 percent. The buff is spent by the first damaging spell that goes off, so it boosts one cast only. If no spell is cast within the duration, the buff fades on its own after 30 seconds.
The cast time of Mystical Amplification itself ignores the caster's DEX and any cast-reduction gear, so it always takes a fixed 0.7 seconds to invoke.
Leveling
| Level | Magic attack increase | SP cost |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 5% | 14 |
| 3 | 15% | 22 |
| 5 | 25% | 30 |
| 7 | 35% | 38 |
| 10 | 50% | 50 |
Notes
- The buff amplifies only one damaging spell and is consumed by it.
- If no spell is cast in time, the buff expires after 30 seconds with no effect.
- The skill's own cast time is fixed and is not shortened by DEX or cast-reduction equipment.
