Ki Translation
Overview
Ki Translation allows the Monk to share spirit spheres with a party member. The caster consumes one of their own spirit spheres and grants it to an ally, letting other Monks or sphere-capable classes build their sphere count faster.
Mechanics
On cast, one spirit sphere is transferred from the caster to the target:
- The caster loses 1 sphere.
- The target gains 1 sphere (with the standard 10-minute duration).
The skill only succeeds if:
- The target is a party member
- The target can hold spirit spheres (Gunslinger and Rebellion classes are excluded)
- The target currently has fewer than 5 spheres
If either condition is not met, the skill fails and neither the sphere nor the SP is consumed.
Notes
- Ki Translation is the primary way to supply a second Monk or Champion with spheres for Asura Strike without requiring them to cast Summon Spirit Sphere five times.
- In group play, staggering one Monk into a support role using Ki Translation can significantly speed up another's setup time.
- The 9-cell range allows transfers at a comfortable distance without requiring exact positioning.
