Team vs Team
Appearance
Team vs Team is a straightforward round-based Battleground. No flags, no bases, no special roles: just two teams fighting it out. It's part of the Battlegrounds system.
| Type | Battleground, round-based elimination |
|---|---|
| Teams | 2 |
| Objective | Win the most rounds |
| Format | Best of several rounds |
Overview
Team vs Team strips away every objective and gimmick found in the other Battlegrounds. There's nothing to capture, defend, or carry: the two teams simply fight, round after round, until one side has won enough rounds to take the match.
How it works
- Rounds. A match is played as a series of rounds. Each round has its own time limit; if the fight is still undecided when time runs out, that round ends in a draw and nobody scores it.
- Winning a round. A round is won by wiping out the opposing team.
- Winning the match. The first team to win enough rounds takes the whole match, and everyone moves on to the rewards.
Honor
Since there are no objectives to speak of, Honor in Team vs Team comes almost entirely from getting kills. This makes it one of the more straightforward modes for earning Honor through direct combat.
See Honor for how the wider system works, including diminishing returns, the AFK rule, and match-end bonuses.
