Reject Sword places a defensive counter on the Stalker. While it is active, melee attacks from enemies wielding a dagger or sword may be partly reduced and turned back on the attacker. The stance holds until it has reflected three times.

Overview

Reject Sword is a self-buff that deals no damage on cast. It reacts only to blade weapons: attackers using a dagger, one-handed sword or two-handed sword. When it triggers, the incoming hit is cut down and the same amount is dealt back to the attacker.

Mechanics

While Reject Sword is active, each qualifying melee hit has a chance to trigger a reflect:

  • Trigger chance: 15 × SkillLv % per eligible hit.
  • Effect on trigger: the incoming damage is reduced to 50%, and that reduced amount is dealt back to the attacker.
  • Eligible attackers: enemies attacking with a dagger, one-handed sword or two-handed sword (monster attackers always qualify).

The buff can reflect up to 3 times; after the third reflect it ends. It has no time limit, so it persists until those reflects are spent.

Reflect formula: reflected damage = 50% of the incoming melee hit.

Leveling

Level Reflect chance Reflects SP cost
1 15% 3 10
2 30% 3 15
3 45% 3 20
4 60% 3 25
5 75% 3 30

Notes

  • Only dagger and sword melee attacks are countered; other weapon types and ranged or magic attacks pass through untouched.
  • Each successful reflect both halves the damage the Stalker would take and returns that amount to the attacker.
  • The stance ends after three reflects rather than on a timer, so it can outlast a long fight if the attacker rarely uses a blade.
