Beast Strafing is a combo attack of the Hunter class that deals heavy ranged damage to beasts.
Overview
Beast Strafing is a follow-up strike performed after Double Strafing. It is a two-hit bow attack that only damages beast-type creatures, but hits them very hard.
Mechanics
Beast Strafing cannot be used on its own; it is a combo skill. After using Double Strafing the Hunter gains a roughly 1.5-second window in which Beast Strafing becomes available against the current target. It is a two-hit attack and requires a bow and one arrow. The strike only lands on Brute, Insect, Fish and Doram targets; against any other race it does nothing.
Damage formula: damage = (180 + 10 × SkillLv)% of ATK, split over 2 hits: 190% at level 1 up to 280% at level 10. While the Hunter is under the Bard/Dancer Soul Link, Beast Strafing gains an extra +4 × STR% per hit.
Leveling
Higher levels increase the damage ratio; SP cost rises slowly with level.
| Level | Damage (% of ATK, 2 hits) | SP |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 190% | 12 |
| 4 | 220% | 13 |
| 6 | 240% | 14 |
| 8 | 260% | 15 |
| 10 | 280% | 16 |
Requirements
Requires a bow and consumes one arrow. Must be chained from Double Strafing.
Notes
Beast Strafing is a niche but powerful burst against beast and insect enemies, rewarding a hybrid build that also invests in Beast Bane and Arrow Training. It requires Double Strafing level 10, Beast Bane level 3 and Arrow Training level 5.
