Fire Wall conjures a wall of flame across the ground that blocks enemies and burns those who try to cross it.

Overview

Fire Wall is the Mage's signature defensive and kiting tool. It is placed along a line perpendicular to the cast direction and, while active, both knocks back and damages enemies that walk into it. It is invaluable for stopping melee enemies and controlling chokepoints.

Mechanics

The wall occupies a row of cells. Each cell independently absorbs a number of hits before that cell expires, and the wall as a whole lasts for its duration. Each contact deals Fire magic damage and knocks the enemy back.

Damage formula: Damage = 50% of MATK per hit.

Hits per cell: 4 + SkillLv.

Duration: 4 + SkillLv seconds.

Higher levels also lower the cast time, making the wall faster to deploy.

Leveling

Level Hits per cell Duration (sec) Cast time (sec) SP
1 5 5 2.00 40
3 7 7 1.70 40
5 9 9 1.40 40
7 11 11 1.10 40
10 14 14 0.65 40

Notes

  • Boss, Fire-element and Undead-element enemies are not knocked back by the wall, and they pass through without being stopped (though they still take the burn damage).
  • Each cell tracks its own hit count, so a wide wall can absorb many more hits than a single cell.
  • Can be copied by Plagiarism and Reproduce.
