Axe Mastery is a passive skill of the Merchant class that sharpens axe combat.
Overview
Axe Mastery rewards Merchants who fight with axes, adding flat attack power and critical rate. It is the foundation of a melee axe Merchant and the prerequisite for Hammerfall.
Mechanics
While a one-handed or two-handed axe is equipped, the skill grants:
Attack: +4 × SkillLv (one-handed and two-handed axes)
Critical rate: +1 × SkillLv%
At level 10 that is +40 ATK and +10% critical rate. The bonus attack is applied as mastery damage at the end of the calculation, so it ignores the target's defense.
Leveling
| Level | Axe Attack | Critical rate |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | +4 | +1% |
| 5 | +20 | +5% |
| 10 | +40 | +10% |
Notes
Because the attack bonus ignores defense, it is especially valuable against high-DEF targets. It also unlocks Hammerfall at level 3.
