Volcano raises a field of Fire energy on the ground that amplifies Fire-property magic and can ignite enemies who stand in it.

Overview

Volcano is one of the Sage's three elemental fields. Cast on the ground, it covers a 7×7 area with Fire energy. Anyone fighting inside the field deals more Fire-property magic damage, and enemies standing in it risk catching fire. It is a strong setup tool for Fire casters and deals no direct damage of its own.

Mechanics

The field occupies a 7×7 cell area and lasts for the listed duration.

While standing inside, a unit's Fire-property magic damage is increased by +(10 + 2 × SkillLv)% — that is +12% at level 1, then +14%, +16%, +18%, and +20% at level 5.

Each second, every enemy standing in the field has a (5 + 5 × SkillLv)% chance to be inflicted with Burning for 30 seconds (if not already burning).

Casting Volcano while you already have an active elemental field (Volcano, Deluge, or Violent Gale) that has not yet expired replaces it without consuming another gemstone.

Notes

• The damage bonus applies only to Fire-property magic; the field grants no attack, HP, or flee bonus.
• The Burning proc affects only enemies inside the field, and only if they are not already burning.
• Only one elemental field may be active for a caster at a time; Volcano, Deluge, and Violent Gale share the same field and gemstone.
