Fire Ball hurls a ball of fire that erupts on impact, dealing Fire magic damage to every enemy in a 5×5 area around the target.

Overview

Fire Ball is the Mage's first area-of-effect attack, ideal for clearing clustered enemies that are weak to Fire. The blast centers on the targeted enemy and splashes outward, though enemies at the very edge of the area take reduced damage.

Mechanics

The fireball strikes the primary target and splashes across a 5×5 area. Enemies on the outer edge of that area take 75% of the calculated damage.

Damage formula: Damage = 100 + 30 × SkillLv (% of MATK).

Edge targets: take ¾ of that value.

So damage rises from 130% at Lv 1 to 250% at Lv 5 (or about 98% to 188% for edge targets).

Leveling

2 160 120 25

4 220 165 25
5 250 188 25

  • The fixed 1-second cast and low SP cost make it an efficient mob-clearing tool against Fire-weak packs.
