Poison React is a self-targeted support skill of the Assassin class that primes the user to strike back at attackers, with an especially harsh response to poison-based enemies.

Overview

Poison React is a reactive buff. Once active it does nothing on its own, but it turns incoming attacks into opportunities to retaliate with venomous counters. It is a key setup skill for the Assassin's poison line.

Mechanics

When Poison React is active the user gains two counter effects for up to 120 seconds:

  • Physical counter: each time the user is struck by a physical attack, there is a 10 + 8 × SkillLv percent chance to answer with an Envenom strike against the attacker. This can trigger up to 5 times.
  • Poison counter: if the user is hit by a Poison-element attack, they answer with a Normal Attack against the source, up to 1 time. This counter has a 10 + 8 × SkillLv percent chance to inflict Poison on the target.

Damage formula: 100 + 60 × SkillLv (% of ATK)

The buff ends as soon as its counters are used up or its duration expires, whichever comes first.

Leveling

Level Envenom counter chance% Poison-counter damage% Poison chance%
1 18% 160% 18%
2 26% 220% 26%
3 34% 280% 34%
4 42% 340% 42%
5 50% 400% 50%

Notes

  • Venom Exploit requires Poison React Lv 2, and Venom Impress requires Poison React Lv 3.
  • The physical counter and the poison counter are tracked separately, so a poison-element attacker can face both responses.
