Beast Orders is the Hunter Beast Master command skill that sets how the active companion behaves.

Overview

Beast Orders changes the active beast's behaviour mode. Unlike most skills, each level of Beast Orders issues a different order rather than a stronger version of the same one — the level chosen at cast time decides the command.

Mechanics

A companion must be active to give an order. The skill level selects the behaviour:

  • Level 1 — Passive: the beast only follows the Hunter and does not engage.
  • Level 2 — Defensive: the beast assists against any enemy that attacks the Hunter.
  • Level 3 — Offensive: the beast seeks out and attacks nearby enemies on its own.
  • Level 4 — Release: the beast is set free permanently and its Beast Bond is consumed.

Levels 1–3 are everyday stance switches; level 4 is a deliberate, irreversible release that destroys the bond.

Leveling

Each level is a distinct command rather than a power increase. SP cost is a flat 30 at every level.

Level Command SP
1 Passive (follow only) 30
2 Defensive (defend the master) 30
3 Offensive (seek and attack) 30
4 Release (free the beast, bond consumed) 30

Notes

Beast Orders requires Beast Call. Treat level 4 with care: releasing a beast permanently destroys its Beast Bond, so the companion cannot be summoned again without taming a new one through Beast Taming. For temporary dismissal use Beast Recall instead.
