Stone Fist is a custom Champion skill that releases a ki-charged palm strike targeting everything in a 5×5 area around the impact point. Beyond its wide reach, it forces every monster struck to aggro onto the caster, and builds a stacking damage-reduction buff — Stone Guard — on the caster for each enemy hit. The skill scales with the caster's VIT and becomes significantly stronger when used under both Mental Strength (Steel Body) and Tempered Will.

Stone Fist is a custom Vortex Legends skill and the Champion's half of the iron stance line. It slams a ki-charged fist into a target and everything around it, and it is written to reward a Champion who is holding ground rather than chasing damage. === Damage ===
Damage formula: 80 × SkillLv + DEF (% of ATK), where DEF is the Champion's own defence.
Stone Fist deals a single physical weapon-property critical hit to every enemy in the 5×5 area. Damage is a percentage of ATK that grows with skill level and the caster's VIT:

: Damage = (120 × SkillLv + VIT × 2) % ATK
Damage formula under Tempered Will: 100 × SkillLv + (DEF × Tempered Will level) ÷ 2 (% of ATK).

The 120 × SkillLv part increases each level. The VIT × 2 part is constant across levels — a caster with 80 VIT always adds +160% from VIT regardless of skill level.
The Tempered Will bonus uses the level the buff was cast at, not the level learned. The blow is weapon property and strikes everything in a 5×5 area centred on the target.

When the caster is simultaneously under Steel Body (Mental Strength) and the Tempered Will buff (Tempered Will active, not just learned), the VIT multiplier scales with the Tempered Will skill level:
Under Tempered Will only, the skill gains two further effects:

: Damage = (120 × SkillLv + VIT × (2 + TW SkillLv)) % ATK
* Every monster hit is provoked, pulling its attention onto the Champion. Players are not affected.
* The Champion gains Stone Guard, a damage reduction that builds up as enemies are hit: 2% for each ordinary enemy and 10% for a boss, up to a maximum of 10%. It lasts 3 + SkillLv seconds and applies to physical, magical and miscellaneous damage alike.

Leveling table
Without the buff the skill is a plain area strike with the lower formula: no provoke and no Stone Guard.

The table below shows the fixed level-scaling component and the total modifier at VIT 80 as an example. VIT is not shown in the table header because every player's VIT is different — add VIT × 2 (or VIT × (2 + TW Lv) under the combo) to the base column to get your actual modifier.

The damage, Provoke, and Stone Guard effects all hit every enemy within 5 cells of the target (a 5×5 square). The caster is excluded from the splash.

Provoke (monsters only)
Every monster in the area is forced into the Provoke status, causing it to aggro onto the caster. Players are unaffected by this component.

Stone Guard
Each enemy hit applies a stacking damage-reduction buff on the caster. These values are fixed — they do not change with skill level:

Notes
* The 1-second cooldown limits burst window; plan casts accordingly.
* Hits are always critical, so CRIT avoidance on the target reduces effective damage.
* The Tempered Will combo bonus requires the buff to be actively running — having Tempered Will learned but not buffed uses the baseline formula.
* Hitting an MVP with Stone Fist grants +10% Stone Guard in one cast; hitting 2 normal mobs only gives +4%. Use MVP pulls to reach the cap quickly.

Stone Fist

Overview

Stone Fist is a custom Vortex Legends skill and the Champion's half of the iron stance line. It slams a ki-charged fist into a target and everything around it, and it is written to reward a Champion who is holding ground rather than chasing damage. Under Tempered Will it hits considerably harder, drags monsters onto the caster and starts building a stacking damage reduction.

Mechanics

Damage formula: 80 × SkillLv + DEF (% of ATK), where DEF is the Champion's own defence.

Damage formula under Tempered Will: 100 × SkillLv + (DEF × Tempered Will level) ÷ 2 (% of ATK).

The Tempered Will bonus uses the level the buff was cast at, not the level learned. The blow is weapon property and strikes everything in a 5×5 area centred on the target.

Under Tempered Will only, the skill gains two further effects:

 • Every monster hit is provoked, pulling its attention onto the Champion. Players are not affected.
 • The Champion gains Stone Guard, a damage reduction that builds up as enemies are hit: 2% for each ordinary enemy and 10% for a boss, up to a maximum of 10%. It lasts 3 + SkillLv seconds and applies to physical, magical and miscellaneous damage alike.

Without the buff the skill is a plain area strike with the lower formula: no provoke and no Stone Guard.

Leveling

Level SP cost Damage (% of ATK) Under Tempered Will Stone Guard duration
1 15 80% + DEF 100% + DEF × TW ÷ 2 4 s
2 15 160% + DEF 200% + DEF × TW ÷ 2 5 s
3 15 240% + DEF 300% + DEF × TW ÷ 2 6 s
4 15 320% + DEF 400% + DEF × TW ÷ 2 7 s
5 15 400% + DEF 500% + DEF × TW ÷ 2 8 s

Notes

 • Because the damage scales with the Champion's own defence, gear taken for survival also raises the output of this skill.
 • A single boss hit reaches the Stone Guard cap in one cast, while ordinary monsters need five to get there.
 • The 7-cell range makes it a pull rather than a melee opener: the Champion can gather a group before the fight closes in.
 • Casting it without Tempered Will running is a waste of two spheres in most situations, since the whole tanking half of the skill is gated behind the buff.
