Overview
Bio Cannibalize plants a carnivorous flora on the targeted ground that automatically hunts nearby enemies on its own. Each cast level summons a different plant with its own attack style.
Mechanics
The summoned plant lasts 120 seconds and attacks enemies that come near it. The cast level determines which flora appears:
- Lv 1: Stone Shooter
- Lv 2: Parasite
- Lv 3: Penomena
A maximum of 3 plants can be active at once; summoning a fourth removes the oldest one.
Stone Shooter blends physical fire strikes with fire magic. At range it hits with a lighter flame attack and casts Fire Bolt; up close it switches to a stronger flame attack and a higher-tier Fire Ball.
Parasite batters enemies with gusts of wind that hit harder the farther away its target stands, and can also strike nearby foes at random. It additionally lashes out with Curse, Stun, and Stone Curse against enemies that get close.
Penomena poisons at range and follows up with Poison and a rapid combo strike up close, along with a separate Poison Attack. It is the most aggressive of the three plants once an enemy closes the distance.
While the caster's Phytomone Overdrive is active on a marked enemy, all three plants switch to noticeably stronger versions of their attacks against it, on top of the ASPD and Hit bonuses that skill grants them.
Leveling
| Level | Summoned plant | Fighting style |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Stone Shooter | Fire magic and fire melee |
| 2 | Parasite | Wind attacks, Curse, Stun, Stone Curse |
| 3 | Penomena | Poison and combo strikes |
Lif Synergy
If a Lif that has learned Nature's Bond is alive at the moment you summon a plant, the new flora inherits part of the Lif's power. Each plant summoned while such a Lif is out gains:
- +ATK equal to the Lif's ATK. While the Lif's Mental Change is active, the plant instead gains ATK equal to the Lif's INT × Mental Change Lv ÷ 3, so a buffed-up Lif produces far deadlier plants.
- +INT equal to ⅓ of the Lif's INT.
- +DEX equal to half of the Lif's base DEX.
- Faster attacks — the plant's attack delay is shortened by the Lif's AGI × 4 (up to 0.5 sec faster).
The ATK and INT inherited from the Lif are amplified by (5 × Nature's Bond Lv)%, up to +25% at level 5. The DEX and attack-speed bonuses are not affected by the passive's level.
The bonus is locked in the instant the plant is summoned and is read from the Lif's current stats, so a higher-level Lif — especially one running Mental Change — turns each flora into a much stronger hunter. This synergy applies only to the Lif line of homunculus, and only while that Lif keeps Nature's Bond learned.
Notes
Plants act independently and cannot be directly commanded. They can, however, be redirected onto a single marked enemy with Phytomone Overdrive, supported in the field by Rejuvenating Bloom and re-elemented on demand with Elemental Catalyst.
