Throw Venom Knife is an offensive skill of the Assassin class that hurls a poisoned knife at a single enemy from a distance, dealing weapon damage and potentially inflicting Poison.

Overview

The Assassin throws a venom-tipped knife toward a target up to 9 cells away. Each cast consumes one Venom Knife from the inventory. The thrown knife carries the element of the equipped weapon and hits harder against foes that are already suffering from Poison.

Mechanics

The knife deals a percentage of the user's ATK based on the skill level. If the target is already Poisoned, the knife strikes for a higher amount. Every throw also has a chance to inflict Poison on the target, and the skill grants a flat bonus to Hit Rate that does not change with level.

The attack uses the weapon's element rather than a fixed one, so the effective element depends on whatever weapon is equipped. When two weapons are equipped, only the right-hand weapon's ATK and cards contribute to the damage.

Damage formula: 150 + 20 × SkillLv (% of ATK) against a healthy target, and 150 + 30 × SkillLv (% of ATK) against a target that is already Poisoned.

Poison chance: 100 + 10 × SkillLv (%)

The skill always adds +20% Hit Rate regardless of the level learned.

Leveling

Level Damage% Damage vs Poisoned% Poison chance% SP
1 170 180 110 10
2 190 210 120 11
3 210 240 130 11
4 230 270 140 12
5 250 300 150 12
6 270 330 160 13
7 290 360 170 13
8 310 390 180 14
9 330 420 190 14
10 350 450 200 15

Notes

Because the damage scales up sharply against Poisoned targets, this skill pairs well with any means of applying Poison first, such as Envenom or Venom Dust. The guaranteed +20% Hit Rate makes it a reliable opener against evasive enemies.
