Arrow Vulcan is the signature ranged burst of the Clown and Gypsy. The performer looses a rapid volley of arrows at a single target, striking nine times in quick succession for heavy concentrated damage. It is the performer's main single-target attack skill and the reason the class can hold a damage role alongside its support songs.

Overview

Arrow Vulcan requires an equipped Musical Instrument or Whip and consumes one arrow per cast. Because the skill follows the property of the equipped arrow, the performer can tune its damage to an enemy's weakness by swapping ammunition. It has a short fixed cooldown, so sustained use depends on managing SP and cast time rather than waiting out long recharges.

Mechanics

The skill delivers its full damage as nine separate hits against one target. Total damage scales with skill level:

Damage = (200 + 100 × SkillLv)% of ATK, split across 9 hits

At level 10 this reaches 1200% of ATK spread over the nine strikes. Because each strike lands individually, the total is affected by per-hit reductions and by anything that responds to being hit multiple times.

The cast time can be shortened through the usual means for variable casting, while the cooldown is fixed at 1.5 seconds.

Leveling

Higher levels raise both the total damage and the SP cost. SP rises from 12 at level 1 to 30 at level 10 (an increase of 2 SP per level), so the extra damage of the top ranks comes at a modest SP premium. Most performers max the skill for its damage ceiling.

Notes and synergy

While a Phantom Performance puppet is active, the puppet mirrors each Arrow Vulcan onto the same target, effectively doubling the pressure the performer applies to a single enemy.
