Deadly Edge is a passive skill of the Paladin class that sharpens the Paladin's spear strikes so their critical hits land harder. It is the cornerstone of a critical-focused spear build.
Overview
Deadly Edge has no activation and costs nothing to use. As long as the Paladin is wielding a spear, every critical hit deals additional damage. The bonus only applies to critical strikes, so it pairs naturally with gear and stats that push critical rate.
Mechanics
Effect: While wielding a one-handed or two-handed spear, critical hits deal +(5 × SkillLv)% extra damage. The bonus is added on top of the normal critical damage increase.
The bonus only applies while a spear is equipped; with any other weapon type Deadly Edge does nothing. It also has no effect on non-critical hits.
Leveling
The extra critical damage scales from +5% at level 1 up to +25% at level 5.
Notes
- Deadly Edge rewards a crit-spear Paladin: investing in critical rate turns the passive into a steady damage increase on every critical strike.
- It follows naturally from Spear Quicken, whose attack speed and critical rate keep the spear build's critical hits coming.
