== Overview ==
Freezing Trap deals Water damage and freezes enemies caught in its blast, locking them in place and leaving them open to follow-up attacks.

== Mechanics ==
The trap arms on the ground and triggers when an enemy enters its cell, striking a 3x3 splash with Water-property damage and applying the Freeze status, then breaking. It ignores the target's offensive cards.

'''Damage formula:''' Freezing Trap damage = ''SkillLv × (DEX + 75 + JobLevel) × (1 + INT ÷ 80)'', the same formula as the Hunter's other damage traps. The Freeze duration lengthens with skill level, from 3 seconds at level 1 up to 15 seconds at level 5. A frozen target cannot act, but as with all Freeze, Water and Wind attacks can break it early.

Its throwing range can be extended by [[Trap Research]], whose INT bonus also raises this trap's damage.

Higher levels lengthen the Freeze and shorten how long the trap stays armed; SP cost is a flat 10.
