'''Elements''' (also called properties or attributes) are a property carried by every player and monster, and by most attacks. They strengthen, weaken, or nullify damage when an attacking element meets a defending element.

Vortex Legends tunes a handful of cells away from the values other Ragnarok servers use:

* '''Earth self-damage fixed.''' Earth attacking an Earth-elemental target used to sit at a flat 100% regardless of level, unlike Water, Fire, and Wind, which all weaken sharply against their own element. Earth now follows the same curve as the other three: 25% at Level 1, 0% from Level 2 onward.
* '''Poison buffed further against Holy and Shadow at Level 4.''' Poison attacking a Level 4 Holy or Shadow defender deals 25% instead of the usual 50%.
* '''Ghost tuned down against Neutral.''' Ghost attacking a Neutral-elemental target (the most common case, since most players and monsters default to Neutral) deals less than the stock value at every level: 75% / 50% / 25% / 0% for Levels 1–4, instead of the sharper drop-off other servers use.
